I'm gonna be DJing @ my personal favorite location, the OFF Bar in Basel, CH!
On Saturday, the 27th of October 2012, "Die Macherei", a swiss artist collective, will be designing the OFF with all their might. Noone can tell what that's gonna be like in detail, so you gotta cone by and see for yourself!
From around 8pm on, i'll be comping the whole happening with some of my most beloved Electronica-, Trip Hop-, Dubstep- and Downtempo-Pearls i got in stock. A very interesting evening indeed..

The creative and tireless team behind the WALDLAUT-Festival featured me in their Line-Up!
I'll be performing there amongst other wonderful acts this Saturday, 8.9.12 around 8pm.

Hej y'all!
Long time no post, i see.. sorry about that. Things are moving quite rapidly at the moment, and a lot is coming up.. I can only tell you that there's gonna be great things happening at Le Loup's, I tell you.. :)
For the moment: I will be performing live again soon!
I am very honored to have a slot at the first Festival Au Salon taking place at Cafébar Salon (Sperrstrasse 94, Basel) from 23rd til 25th of August 2012.

My gig will be on friday, the 24th from 8pm til 8:45pm.

Come and have a listen! You can't possibly deny Salon's lovely charm, nostalgic look and the irresistible mood that comes along. People who've already been there know what i mean.

Everyone who hasn't: it's about time!!

So make sure you reserve that evening for some fresh live music in an unique environment.

Cancelling TRIBUNE - DJ Set

My friends; I deeply regret to announce that, due to a huge misunderstanding, I will not be DJing at the TRIBUNE-Bandcontest Afterparty at Kaserne Basel on the 12th of May 2012. I'm sorry.
Nevertheless, that party will be going strong with the music of DJ Tom Best.
I hope to see some familiar faces tomorrow night! I'll be there, dancing my butt off.

Spinnin' The Decks! Announcing 3 upcoming DJ-Sets

My dearest music lovers,
it seems just like yesterday i've complained about not getting the opportunity to DJ at parties that much anymore, and BAM, now look at that! I am proudly announcing 3 lovely events in a row where i'll be spinning the decks. Save the following dates:

Saturday, the 21st of April 2012. I will be DJing at the release party of Basel-based band PAPACELUMA's debut studio album, CLOCKWISE.

Be sure to arrive in time so see the concert at 21:30, these guys belong to Basel's finest!
Although they got their roots in Funk and Soul music, they prove with their upcoming debut album that they're not afraid of musical experiments and aesthetic excursions to all different kinds of genres.
The way they join and mix all the different inspirations is just really satisfying, to say the least.

The event will take place @ SICHT-BAR, Gundeldinger Feld, Dornacherstrasse 192, 4053 Basel.

The bar will be open from 18h on.

Friday, the 4th of May 2012. Yet another release concert-afterparty! This time, it's lovely singer-songwriter Martina Linn's debut EP "Staircase From Above" being released.

This great collection of five folky ballads played by a marvelous band, sensitively comping Martina's fascinating versatile and strong voice make "Staircase From Above" more than worth listening to.
The evening will be opened by not less interesting young pianist Nives Onori and her band.
All this will take place at the TREIBHAUS in Lucerne, CH. Starting time: 21h.

Yes, it's been some time since this year's episode of my hometown Basel's traditional carnival, the "Basler Fasnacht" and my live gig on tuesday, the 28th of February '12. It was a gig of live electronics influenced by the music, sounds and vibes coming along with Fasnacht.

Gig-Announcement! DJ-Set @ Freiburg

DJ Luke Le Loup's spinning the decks again!

I'll be DJing at a party by german friends of mine in Freiburg. The usual: mainly fonkee stuff with a dash of Electronica/Jazz/Blues/R'n'B.

As far as I'm told, it's going to be a mixture between DJing, dance-performances and crowd-controlled, sand-based live-visuals!! Pretty amazing. Be sure to check it out! Freiburg is definetly worth a trip.

Featured DJs will be Moses, Reimann, Finckh & LleL. Entry 4.-- euros.

The Blog-Virgin

Here I go, writing a blog. How do you even do that?!
I'll worry later. First, I just want to thank you for checking out my blog, discovering some things here, reading the news.. And believe me; at the moment, my blog is as new to me as it might be to you.
So let's get surprised, shall we! Oh my, how exciting..
To sum it up: this blog will be a place for me to post general information about Luke Le Loup's new songs/remixes, upcoming/past live-gigs or dj-sets, share gig pictures, tell you about great music i've heard a n d   s o   o n . can't really say what's gonna happen here.
Plus, i'll be writing my blog in English. For the incredibly important aspect of globalized world-wide versatile networking (G.W-W.V.N. No shit, it exists. Now it does). Hjyeah.
